The X Kazan International Muslim Film Festival

5 - 11 september, 2014, Kazan


This is the festival-competition of films that reflect universal spiritual and moral values ​​and cultural traditions, facilitate the idea of peacemaking, tolerance and humanity, regardless of national and religious identity.

The motto of the festival is "Through the dialogue of cultures to the culture of dialogue". The festival is held in close proximity to peacefully co-existing in the city Orthodox churches, mosques, the Lutheran church, the Catholic temple and the synagogue.

Filmmakers from more than 30 countries, including Russian Federation and the CIS countries, annually take part in the festival.

The cultural programme of the festival provides the participants and guests with visits to historical sites, places of cultural heritage in Kazan, Sviyazhsk, Bolgary, Elabuga.

Each year the festival is attended by some 20 thousand people.
